CHAMPION TUNAMARA BRADY

2001 - 2011

Ch Eltazzi Dancing Master - Ch Wondoan Witchs Britchers

Brady at 4 months of age at his very first show and again shortly before he passed away at age 10yrs from a tumour.

Brady was a lovely dog of just 14 inches who has made a lasting impression on my breeding direction. He was a son of Champion Wondoan Witchs Britchers by Champion Nunjee Tukis Sand out of Flacitos Zoe Catrina. A gentle dog that was a great baby sitter he had the most willing temperament and in his younger days he just loved to show. I enjoyed presenting him and once he had titled I thought about breeding with him. Over his last 9 years he gave me some beautiful puppies to very diverse bitches. His daughters and sons have been little short of phenominal and his grandkids outstanding. He went to Ch. W. Witchs Britchers Grandaughter, Tunamara Porcelain and produced Champion Tunamara Temptation and Champion Tunamara Temptress. He bred to his maternal half sister Tunamara Tamerine and gave us Tunamara Prelude and he went back to his grandmother Zoe and gave us Champion Tunamara Infatuation. These four girls have created their own legacy's and are all of a type even though they were from different bitch lines. Later he was paired with Milano Hugs and Kisses and produced Champion Tunamara Matera and then to my imported American/Aust Champion Marchwind Georgia On My Mind and he gave me the most outstanding little dog in Champion Tunamara Gold Leaf, a BOB winner against strong competition at 6+ months of age, a multi Class In Group winner (from baby to Junior at 13 months old) and then at 14 months he achieved his first Best Exhibit In Group placement.  His sister, N.Z. Champion Tunamara First Blush did us proud in New Zealand also with numerous In Group placements and then her title at 14 months of age and the third success from this litter Champion Tunamara Silver Gilt who was top toy and hugely successful for newcomer Amie Smart in NT. Brady was under used and we now are producing grandchildren in the same mould so the type is set. At 10 years young Brady was still healthy and living in semi retirement, his job done. We then learned that he had an inoperable tumour and was put to sleep quietly. Brady was invaluable and I could not imagine how my team would have developed without him at the head.
He was just a special little man and we loved him dearly.

CHAMPION TUNAMARA TEMPTATION

Tasha was the pride of Kaasha kennels in Darwin and then in Victoria. She showed to her title and then produced her litter to Gd.Ch.Tuscamada Trend Setter. This litter contained Champion Kaasha Tempting Fate and then Kaasha In Fashion and Kaasha Fashionsonthfieldfrom a second mating. When put to Champion Wondoan Wraffles she produced Kaasha Rumours N Gossip who now lives back at home with Kaasha Kennels and the ill fated K. Rumours and Lies who left some lovely puppies for  KiannaPark Kennels in WA. Tempting Fate gave us Ch Tunamara Micah, also a lovely boy.

CHAMPION TUNAMARA TEMPTRESS

Temptress is a litter sister to Temptation from Porcelain by Brady, She succeeded in the show rings of Queensland and resided at Kloudnine kennels where she produced some lovely puppies. I expect for her to spend the rest of her life in comfort as she has now retired to a loving pet home.

CHAMPION TUNAMARA INFATUATION

Stella as she is called continued to amaze us as she has grew up. She went to Piccino kennels as a youngster and was given a start as a show dog when a baby and was successful but not happy with the regime so she was put aside to mature. Having produced just two litters for her owners she was first bred to Gd. Champion Piccino Casanova and achieved a litter of just two puppies including a beautifully balanced dog called Champion Piccino Fino. Fino lived with us at Tunamara and was a successful show dog as well as  stud producing Champion Tunamara Micah and Tunamara Ad Miration from his first litters for us as well as the lovely puppies, Lamarque Masqueraide and Lamarque Pandemonium for Lamarque kennels. Stella's second litter for Piccino kennels in 2007 to the imported dog Am.Champion Winsome Make Your Mark was even more sensational producing successful show dogs, Ch. P. Kentucky Rain, Ch. P, Key Florida, P. Key Largo P. Key to America, P. Kansas Cowboy and P. Kid Hollywood. Lovely dog Piccino Key Largo came to us and his very first litter to Champion Tanden Viktoria gave us Tunamara Exclusive (retained) and Tunamara Exquisite (exported to UK). Stella then returned to the show ring as a mature bitch and  gained her title with Nicky Veitch in Sth Australia.
She is just beautiful and her influence was brought home to me when in two days of showing, she herself achieved Best of Breed and Open in Group, Her son Largo achieved Challenge dog and Best of Breed, Her grandson Micah took Challenge dog and R/U best of Breed, Her other son Ch. Piccino Kentucky Rain accepted reserve Challenge dog and her grandaughter Lamarque Masqueraide went reserve Challenge bitch. Results speak for themselves and Stella now retired and aged was just one special girl.

TUNAMARA PRELUDE

Lulu was a lovely fawn girl and although a little tall for the show ring she was so beautifully put together with a stunning houndy head, her mother was a maternal half sister to Brady and the only close mating I did with him. She lived with friends at Igmajik kennels and achieved her first litter for them in 2007. A son Igmajik Sonata came home to me as a show dog and future stud and his sister Igmajik Montana was retained by her breeders. Both of these kids offered bone, substance and beautiful style with Sonata showing the shape and type of the Brady boys. Prelude's next litter to Wondoan Walk The Line has gave us some little beauties also with Champion Igmajik Peggy Sue completing her show career with us and Igmajik Chantilly Lace staying with her breeder. These girls are gorgeous and inspired us to repeat this mating in 2011. This second litter was whelped in February and we have daughter Champion Igmajik Maybelline with us and son Igmajik Rebel Yell stayed with his breeder. Lulu passed away after enjoying retirement in 2014

Brady's portfolio was ever expanding as in December 2009 a litter was born to my imported girl Aust/Am Ch Marchwind Georgia On My Mind. From this litter we chose two special puppies for the show ring. The little girl travelled to New Zealand where she was owned and exhibited by Tania Hudson. Little N.Z. Champion Tunamara First Blush became my first overseas champion and she won numerous In Group placements along the way. The male in the litter was kept by us but handled in Melbourne by Adam Davidson. He is now Champion Tunamara Gold Leaf (Toby) and he has met all expectations with Class In Group wins (from baby to Junior) and a Best Exhibit in Group award in a group of 216 dogs. He took his title at 12 months and 2 weeks and amassed a huge 312 points at just 14 months of age. Toby came home at the end of 2011 and now stands safely in my stud team.

Below a selection of just some of Brady's offspring.

You can see from these profiles that my bloodlines overlap and that these dogs have been the backbone of many breeding programs. I still miss Brady and he was healthy and sound until his 9th year with clear eye and solid patellas, he had lost teeth but still had his energy and we looked for him to have many more years, but it was not to be. I loved him dearly and although a little toothless and grey he was the most affectionate soft dog you could ever hope to meet.
BRADY PASSED AWAY ON 9/8/2011. I COULDN'T BELIEVE HE WAS GONE BUT HIS HUGE IMPACT ON OUR BREEDING PROGRAM LIVES ON AND HE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTON. REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND WE HAVE ALWAYS LOVED YOU
