WALK THE LINE

19/08/2008 - 29/11/2019

Walker came to me at a time when we were starting to seriously develop and improve our bloodlines and he added refinement, colour and lovely long necks and toplines to what we were breeding at that time. Although over height for our show rings he has never produced tall puppies and all have kept his elegance and beautiful outline. I am eternally grateful to Lynne and John Hales at Wondoan for the opportunity to have him here and for the wonderful style and type that he has added to our dogs.

Although we had been exhibiting and breeding Italians for many years when we purchased Walker, we consider him and Ch Tunamara Brady to be the most influential stud dogs we have owned and Walker is the true foundation sire of our current bloodlines. Everything descended from him is where we are today and he is still sound and healthy and very much loved and appreciated.

Walkers first litter to Ch Tunamara Faiance   in 2010 gave us two lovely girls in "Tunamara Aurora" and Champion Tunamara Ambrosia". These two have gone on to produce and have created their own families.

Walkers 2010 litter to Ch Barad Bambina Labamba produced our lovely black sable stud dog "Tunamara Azriel". Azriel has gone on to create a strong presence and provide improvement in the strength of colour and pigmentation in our dogs here

Aurora stayed with me for a litter and gave me the pretty girl "Tunamara Calamity Jane. Sister Ambrosia went to the new Tacozajo Kennel as their foundation bitch and has left them with the beautiful "Tacozajo Summer Rain" and her sister who is with Kosmos Kennels in Alice Springs "Tacozajo Butterfly Effect". From Rain we now have little Tacozajo Dancing On Air and Tacozajo Dancing with Stars. Both Amber and Aurora are now retired to their forever homes where they are spoilt and loved.

Walkers 2010 litter to Aus/Am Ch Marchwind Georgia On My Mind (imp) was special. From this mating we kept Champion Tunamara Silver Dollar, Champion Tunamara Perfect Pride, Tunamara Precious Peace and Tunamara Petite Pixie.  Every one of these four could have their own page and have gone on to add to our show teams. Dollar and Pride were show Champions in their own Rights. The quality in the litters from this four is phenominal.

Pixie was allowed just one litter as she sadly had her hind leg amputated as a baby. She is a much loved member of our family. Her contribution was

Ch Tunamara Faerie Dae.

Meanwhile Walker sired some puppies for outside kennels. In 2009 and again in 2011 He was mated to lovely old Brady daughter "Tunamara Prelude. From these matings came Champion Igmajik Peggy Sue, Champion Igmajik Maybeline and Igmajik Chantilly Lace. All three of these girls have gone on to produce. Peggy stayed with me and showed to her title. She gave me Ch Tunamara Raves On and Tunamara Bobbi Sox from her first litter and then for her encore she left me with a lovely young dog in Ch Tunamara Devils Needle and finally she gave me the pretty Tunamara Sweet Lady Jane. Rave continued the successes with her daughters Ch Tunamara China Display and Tunamara Mint Slice and sister Bobbi Sox produced our multi Group winning young dogs Ch Tunamara Huon Pine and Ch Tunamara Donnybrook.

Chantilly Lace and Maybeline have both produced well for Igmajik Kennels and will come to us later in 2016 to give us a litter before their retirement.

Sadly young Raves On passed away in 2015 after an encounter with a brown snake and her mother left when she was hit by a motor car in Jan 2016.

Walkers 2014 litter to his grandaughter Tunamara Calamity Jane produced two lovely champions in,

Champion Tunamara Hear Me Whisper and

Champion Tunamara Do You Want To Knowa Secret.

Out of Walkers most recent litter in 2015 comes a pretty girl owned by a new exhibitor in Victoria. She is Tunamara Uptown Girl and her mother Ch Tunamara Laurel Oak who is already a producer of note. We wish them well.

As you can see Walker has created a dynasty and his influence is felt right through our breeding program as well as across the country in his youngsters. Below is a selection of his second and third generation puppies. Walker is now almost 8 years old and we hope to have him for many more years and put him back to the occasional girlfriend to maintain his place as head of our stud team.

Sadly Walker was desexed in January 2017 due to testicular cancer. He was retired with regret but his contribution to our breeding program is amazing and he exceeded all expectations. His bloodlines continue to assist breeders around the country and he leaves a great legacy with us here...Sadly Walker passed away in his sleep on 29th November 19.  RIP Walker You will be remembered with love.
